The General Overview of the Health and Social Care Community Unit (Group) is to provide help and care for the social and community needs of both Salvation and Deliverance Ministry members and people in the broader community.
The service and purpose provides representation on various matters to enable people to cope with the demands of the social and economic system, so where there is despair we bring hope.
Our aim is to provide home service where necessary whether by serving Holy Communion to the shut in or by offering prayers.
We will seek to develop community initiatives among young people especially those who are seeking to witness in the community through services to the needy and the use of art, music, drama and social media as a form of communication.
Communication is now the most important element in the Salvation and Deliverance Ministries strategy of developing a conscientious Christian congregation capable of increasing its membership and to respond to the complex situation in which the church operates.
The objective is to enlighten and educate a Christian opinion in a crusade to rid God’s world of hostility, hatred, violence, crimes and fears.
Saving our Men's Ministry
Save our Men’s ministry was founded and established by Bishop D. G Greaves in 2011, where he launched this ministry with some renowned speakers. Bishop Greaves was impregnated with this vision for some years before giving birth to this vision.
He was inspired by God after speaking this great message in the Sunday service when the revelation came to him from the Book of Exodus chapter 1:1-21 on the topic of “The Egyptian Bondage”- save our men.
The new king Pharaoh and the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigor after he discovered that the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly, and multiplied and waxed exceeding mighty, and the land was filled with them. In Exodus 1:15-17, The New King Pharaoh commanded all male children to be destroyed at birth.
In vs. 17, the midwives feared God and did not do what the King of Egypt had commanded them, but saved the men children alive. So this is the revelation of “Save our Men ministry” came from (born for a purpose). The devil is always after our men. I believe that if we can change the heart of men then we can the heart of the nation.
